Microfiber towels, wash mitts and chamois have all but replaced cotton, sponge and animal skins, and for good reason. Microfiber works!
Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a bit of a microfiber snob. When I was putting my own brand name on towels and wash mitts I had to be. These days, with money being tight, I find myself looking for the best deals. Sometimes that means buying el-cheap-o cleaning towels so I can save my nice buffing towels for pampering.
Yesterday I found myself at the local Lowe's picking up some plumbing parts and stumbled across Zwipes in their cleaning supplies. I ripped into a bag to feel the quality and was shocked and pleasantly surprised. I've see the Zwipes brand name before, but had the preconceived notion they were poor quality.
Okay, so I was wrong.
I picked up the 12-pack bag of 16" by 16"s, put them in the wash with some other microfibers, and then put them to the test in the house. Today was cleaning day, so I put the towels to work cleaning mirrors, counter tops, and dusting.
How did they work? Fantastic! No linting, very absorbent, and no scratchy edging that plagues most cheap microfiber towels. I very good, all around glass and cleaning towel.
Amazon stocks the Zwipes brand and ships them direct. So, here's the best news of all... when you buy a 36 pack of towels, they're less than $.56 per towel! That's a nice price, and the Zwipes towels qualify for Amazon's FREE super saver shipping. How can you beat that?
