A high speed car polisher question?

Hello, I'm just wondering if I can use a terry cloth bonnet on my high speed to get some spider web type scratches out? It didn't come with the foam cutting ones. Will these work the same? Thanks

"spider webbing" can be removed with a polishing compound and a Porter Cable 7424 (most common tool) …. the idea is to start with the lightest grade of compound first to minimize risk of possible damage to the paint. So for example, you can start with "light swirl remover" (same as a compound) … use that to start with and see how well it worked … then go from there to a heavier compound if needed … typically there are 3 grades of compounds …. light, medium, and heavy cut.

3M makes the most widely used compound car preps …. they are truly good and available at most auto parts stores …

I have used a terry cloth bonnet also … but only after I have totally finished the car … I just use it to brighten the final finish …

if you want the ultimate towel to use for detailing your car …. go to LAZAINO.COM …. ask to talk to Ira about the towels he makes … i swear these towels are awesome ….. they are true 100% cotton and thick …. it makes a huge difference ….

    hope this helps
